Tansy flies Home

Favourite Breakfast Ever

Tansy and Favourite Photographer have finished their stint on Passing Cloud, and spent a few days in the Villages of Queen Charlotte and Skidegate. Tansy took the opportunity to finish up a few odds and ends, like twisting the Favourite Photographer’s (rubber) arm for another Queen B’s waffle…

Cumulus Cloud Mask

…and a visit to the Haida Heritage Centre, where she said hello to the cumulus cloud mask (they got to know each other during a Potlatch in 2013).

Gwaliga and Erin

Tansy also looked up other old friends like Gwaliga, who introduced her to a new friend, Erin.  Gwaliga is an artist and archaeologist, who Tansy has worked with on a number of occasions.

Tarundl

She and some friends went for one last hike to the Tarundl Estuary (she wished she had rubber boots on, to look for archaeological fish weirs.

  1. Home…in a nice sudsy bath!!! What more could our wooden ambassador of sorts ask for after all the travels and adventures she went through!!! Another page is turned and we will stay tuned for the next chapter. Hopefully the companionship of all the Quimper cupboard group will make up for parting with Jaadaa. We are most grateful for having been a part of yet another wonderful journey ❤️

    • Tansy is glad to be home again! We have a favourite Swedish proverb that says “ borta bra men hemma bäst“ which means “away is nice but home is best”…we were so glad to send Jaadaa off to her new family with the love and good wishes of all! Thank you for being part of the love!

  2. Lovely adventures. Everyone’s adventures should end in a sudsy bath, or at least a hot shower, and then tea.

  3. I laughed over the rubber arm comment….I must remember that one!! And I so enjoyed seeing the last photos of Tansy’s trip and then of course dear Constance. How nice to come home to such a good and caring friend.!

    • Tansy is truly grateful for her wonderful trip to Haida Gwaii, all the people she met and the amazing places she was privileged to visit…but indeed, a hot sudsy bath feels awfully good!
Constance is eyeing her pile of laundry…maybe after the tea…

  4. What a joy to do those last odds and ends of the recent journey, and then come home to such love and care. It’s always been so pleasant, so very pleasant and pleasing to go on these journeys with Tansy and the rubber-armed fellow who she accompanies.
