A Stack of Waffles
The Waffle Weave Warp is off the Glimåkra loom! After Constance helped with pressing and pinning, I machine sewed the hem, and then snipped off the weft ends.
These are two versions of the waffle weave towel. Constance is sitting on a towel with all white wefts, and leaning on a towel whose weft stripes mimic the warp stripes...
.
Hand weavings always experience shrinkage after the first washing. These towels shrank 20 % in both warp and weft directions. They also are lovely and soft after washing, and the weave structure with long floats will make them very absorbent. Constance loves stacks of waffles, and the cat (as usual) likes the leftovers.

How very handy to have Constance’s extra hands to help in this lovely project.
We loved the result! Constance is always encouraging.
A new to me use of the word waffle! I hear you are on the road – I hope you have a great trip!
We had a great trip, and ate waffles for breakfast one morning, made with waffle mix mixed with club soda!
Your waffle weave towels are absolutely yummy! Constance is such a good helper!
Constance and I are always happy to try out a new weaving design (or recipe for waffles).
love the cat playing with the trimmings. However those towels are much too beautiful to actually use!!
That cat is incorrigible.
Beautiful waffle weave towels and Constance is always there to help. The cat seems to be having fun as well.
Both tea towels turned out very nicely, though the plain one was much less headache-inducing, and had fewer mistakes.
