This book will have four leaves per signature. This is a trial book, with numbers and arrows visible on every page. The numbers will be what the page numbers are in the finished book, and the arrows next to the number show which way up they need to be printed in order to end right way up in the book.

I went to college in 1991 for two years, emerging with a city and guilds in bookbinding and paper conservation. I had hoped to have a career in restoration, but the opportunities were few, the pay minimal, so – although I still have all my tools (some of which I now use in my silversmithing) I very rarely work with leather or paper. You did that very well, miniature books are really rather challenging.
