A New Weaving Project 2
The Kilt Scraps are cut into 1/2 inch wide strips – and the nice thing about a scrap of Kilt is that it can be 6 to 8 yards long!

We are excited to get weaving with these!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh they are delectable! I can hardly wait to see what they turn into!
I live the serendipitous patterns – it is almost a shame to contemplate unwinding them!
from past postings I know that you will be creating something wonderful from that fabric…however even the rag balls themselves are quite a feast for the eyes.
Aren’t they beautiful?!
A short note..I see that Mungo has retired from the scene…I suspect it was all just too much for him. Plus he may have wished to remove himself and the temptation of his own kilt from you weavers!!
Mungo did have qualms about standing too near to a girl with a cutting wheel, and an eye on his kilt!!
The girls and maybe Mungo will have a lot of fun making beautiful pieces of clothing with the Kilt strips. This will be a fun project.
We are going to make table mats, they will be beautiful! I am not sure Mungo will be reconciled!
These balls are very lovely, and I expect the weavings will be amazing.
We love the rich colours of these wool “scraps”…and love the patterns they make whether wrapped into balls or woven into mats.
