Under the Weather
Constance has succumbed to a Dreadful Lurgy!
.
.
Her friends all think of ways to help her feel better. Patience thinks tea will do the trick.

Mary Ann brings a cosy Hot Water Bottle.

Mungo prepares to play his sweetest tune…

… but Rose thinks the pipes may not be sufficiently restful.

Constance appreciates that all her friends want to help her, but she thinks snuggling with the cat might be the best medicine of all.

We’re fighting it here too…right now, the Lurgy is in my head. Feel better Constance!
The grip of winter loosens, and the spring lurgy pounces, sigh…rest is good.
Oh Constance, may the lurgy not lurk long. We have some of that going around here too…no cats for comfort, but we do have quilts and tea! Bagpipes would be an interesting diversion to say the least. How very thoughtful Mungo was to consider giving that comfort to Constance.
Doesn’t Constance have a beautiful quilt! Just looking at the pretty patches makes her feel better! Rose suggested that Mungo play his sweet tunes at a distance – the wailing of the pipes from far away can be quite haunting and beautiful.
poor Constance and perhaps her poor human! We love her wonderful night clothes including that night cap bonnet. Great pics and story..esp Mungo with those pipes..yikes!!! we know that Constance is being well cared by her devoted family and we hope her poor human is also.
Constace’s night cap is made using the pattern from last Saturday’s blog post:click here for a link to the instructions. I tucked in the excess fabric at the back with two darts to make the night cap fit more closely.

Poor Constance! Good thing she has such a nice new pair of PJs.
Nothing is as lovely as an elegant linen nightgown!
Very best wishes to Constance and a hug from the Wren Cottage girls at 9b – who also feel that perhaps the Quimper mum might be in need of some soothing around the head area!
The Voodoo dolls of Wren Cottage are remarkably effective to be sure.
