Candle Beggar

Min leaves a special treat for the last Yule Lad…she is lying very still in hopes of catching a glimpse of his face!

The thirteenth Yule Lad to come is Kertasníkir, the candle-beggar who comes on December 24th! This is the last day of waiting, tonight is Christmas Eve! for a link to the information on historic Icelandic Christmas traditions provided by the wonderful National Museum of Iceland, click here.

  1. Oh, I wonder if she will get to see Kertasníkir. I hope that is suitably exciting, and not scary. My best wishes to all the Quimper Hittys for wonderful holidays.

  2. Hope Min gets to see the last Yule lad. This has been very interesting for us. Many thanks to Min. She demonstrated every scene perfectly and tastefully. Merry Christmas Min, Constance, Rose and all the other Quimper hittys and Christmas Greetings to the human family too. Have a wonderful wonderful time together.
