Cherry Pit Fisherman
…by popular demand, we present the Quimper Hitty Fisherman Doll…
.
.
His head is a Cherry Pit; body, arms and legs are carved and painted chopsticks; he sports a sou’wester made of Fimo; and his slicker was a rubber glove fingertip…
.
.
He’s an enthusiastic fisherman!
.
.
And usually successful!
Thanks to the Quimper Hitty’s favourite photographer, who got out his macro lens for this awesome photo shoot!
.
.

From all angles, the fisherman looks very male, a cheery mate. What fun to have such a hearty soul around the QH cupboard.
Min especially likes him, she is not a baby doll kind of girl!
Gorgeous photos! What fun to see the little guy up really close.

Yes, the photographer had fun!
He’s wonderful! Once again, you have inspired and delighted your faithful readers! 😀
Aw, thank you, we’re happy that you enjoyed the Cherry Pit guy!
The Fisherman is hilarious!! I can’t look at him without grinning. And his sou’wester is a fingertip from a glove?? oh that is even more fantastic. Thanks to the “favorite photographer” for some wonderful photos. I am still grinning!
His sou’wester hat is Fimo…the coat was made from the glove – we had a lot of fun making him!
oh and just in case you thought I was being too flippant..I also think he is VERY well done. Great job of carving the little bitty guy.
Thanks! It was hard holding on to the cherry pit!
Love him! Thanks for explaining how he was made. Now I will save my yellow rubber gloves that always seem to get microscopic holes in them. “Favorite photographer” does an amazing job. It’s very hard to capture the itty-bittys.
F. P has a camera with a giant lens!
Thank you for your introduction to cherry pit fisherman doll! He is a quite a character……and a fun addition to the Hitty family! Happy fishing!
No such thing as too many dolls!
This is really very humorous – So well done. Now the Quimper Hittys have their own fisherman. Beautifully carved and dressed.
We do have fun in this house – the Hittys and their friends see to that!
He is a charming little fellow. Like many fisherman he can be found in the beatiful light of early morning thereby making photography much easier. At least if the photographer is an early riser.
