Sprinkles
The first rain in six weeks sprinkled down this afternoon. Umbrellas were everywhere, including this one, which seemed to have been abandoned in the Quimper Hitty’s front yard…

…apparently it is inhabited…

Tatty says the soft and gentle sprinkling rain and its accompanying breeze is very refreshing, and no reason to cower inside. She is spending a lovely time outside appreciating the rain and sniffing the petrichor.

The second one is amazing photograph, fascinated me. Thank you, have a great weekend, love, nia
Thanks! I will have a good weekend – you too!
What creative minds inhabit the QH household! And…love the word, petrichor! Thanks for enhancing vocabulary skills.
PS….so glad for the encouraging sprinkles. Your lawn looks desperate for rain.
Ah petrichor – one of my favourite words! The grass dries out every year, this year is pretty early though…
Petrichor is one of my most favourite scents too…. that blending of the sweet elements of earth, sky and water- bliss!
It is blissful – I love it too!
Tatty is one great Hitty! She certainly loves nature with all its quirks! Petrichor—had to look up that word!!
Tatty enthuses about pretty much everything – she’s a lucky girl to have such an obliging personality!
oh my these are just delightful!! the glimpse of Tatty’s little feet under that umbrella too cute!!
She was wriggling her toes (inside her sensible black shoes) with pure joy at the sprinkles!
the deck chair is perfect for Tatty, no doubt she will spend much of the summer relaxing and watching the world go by. Wish we had a couple more days of rain, it is going to be a long dry summer. Umbrellas will have to be used as parasols.
Yes that wasn’t much of a soak for the gardens. Parasols are good, I might have to figure out how to make them for Hitty. Those little cocktail parasols are just a bit small!
I can just see a little row of Hittys flying off like Mary Poppins!
The last photo of Tatty is just such a wonderful image.
She was overjoyed to have a little sit under the broken umbrella – but she is very easily amused!!!
It’s a cute umbrella to have been abandoned in your front yard. Just perfect for a Hitty tent!
It was a good tent, but we have since turned it into several Hitty raincoats!
