Coriander Travels around
Coriander and I went on a little trip – first stopping in Minnesota where the Maple leaves were turning colour…
.
.
…and Minehaha falls was flowing with abundant water.
.
.
The next stage of our journey took us to a gigantic snarly airport in Dallas, where we boarded a flying matchbox of a plane…
.
.
…and flew to Arkansas!
.
.
We spent a frolicsome weekend with five organisers, 30 attendees and many many Hittys! What fun! Many months of behind the scenes preparation and a whirlwind on the event days… I taught a class on Crazy Quilting for Hitty, which I was too busy to document, alas! This photo shows the beginning of another presenter’s fun project where we practised needle-felting…
.
.
…and here is a felted picture of Hitty and a sheep, mostly completed. I will do the finishing touches at home! A third instructor taught us about making glamorous evening wear for the discerning (and grown-up) Hitty.
.
.
We were so amused and happy to meet up with old friends…
.
.
…and eat local delicacies…
.
.
…and at the end of the hectic days we went for pleasant strolls in the autumn afternoons!
.
.

That sounds such a fun excursion!
It was bound to be fun, with friends, relations and Hittys!
What a beautiful photographs, Thank you dear Hitty Lady, Love, nia
Thank you nia…My camera takes better photos – these photos were taken with my phone, as I intended to figure out how to post on WordPress that way, but I was not successful!
What a lovely journey and destination you and Coriander have had and experienced. Thank you for sharing.
The travelling part was not bad, and I enjoyed the visits and the workshops! Lucky me! Coriander enjoyed herself thoroughly!
sounds like a wonder-full trip and workshops. Did you only take one Hitty?? Can’t wait to see the glamorous evening wear. Nice to have you safely home.
I am very glad to be safely home…a few Hittys came along, and a new one came home with me…You’ll meet her tomorrow!
Since I got to attend this event I can testify to the fun and frolic that was had by all. It was lovely to meet Coriander in person and of course any time spent with the Quimper human is a delight!
Aww, thanks! The team worked hard to make the whole weekend fun for everyone – it is so nice to hear that people enjoyed themselves, and such a treat to have a whole weekend of not having to explain the love we have for small wooden dolls!
Coriander had some wonderful adventures and I so enjoyed the photos!
She did have fun! It was a lot of work behind the scenes, and a long way for us to go, but so much fun!
