A Human-sized Cardigan
Siyah helped me wind skeins of wool from the Beehive Wool Shop…

I knitted a cardigan using the Rainy Day Cardigan pattern by Sari Norlund…

I learned so many things while working on this cardigan – like how to make double-knit button and buttonhole bands…
.
.
…and how to do an Italian sewn bind off.
.
.
The cats appreciated the soft, squishy and warm yarn project at every step of the way…
.
.
…especially when the knitting was finished…
.
.
…though she wasn’t as enthusiastic about it while damp during the blocking-out process!
.
.
The youngest human chose the buttons.
.
.
We are all very happy with the results!

Beautiful work! It looks great on you!
Thank you so much! I love the wool so much – squishy, and beautiful, and it was a pleasure to knit.
Beautiful!! It looks perfect and the fit is grand! (thanks for the link to the yarn as well… it is stunning!)
Thanks so much – I was careful and swatched three times! and measured against a sweater that I knew I liked the fit of. The wool is really nice to work with.
Beautifully made and beautifully worn.
Aww… thank you so much. I like wearing it!
How lovely! Wear it in good health! 🙂 ❤
I will! The colour and comfort of the cardigan are making it an instant favourite!
the sweater is lovely and a very nice picture of the knitter. Thank you for the intro. to New Wave Fibre – great to hear that it is local and enjoyed their “story”.
I was pleased with its “localness” and the colour. Did you notice the roving on the website?
what a lovely sweater…you are so talented. I agree with Siyah that it is a wonderful creation. Love the color and adore the buttons.
As shucks… I admit that I am pleased with the sweater, and I do plan to wear it often! And Siyah plans to sit on it when I am not wearing it!
Wow that cardigan is lovely and the yarn is beautiful. You had some nice helpers. I knew the Hittys ere helpful but I didn’t realize your cat’s talents! 🙂
Our cats are very encouraging when it comes to warm soft things made with beautiful yarn!
That looks lovely Kjerstin! And I am glad the cats offered their support and supervision.
Thank you very much. Our cats seem very interested in helping and supervising anything relating to yarn!
As do mine!
