Delectable Mountains
This mini-quilting extravaganza is giving me the excuse to experiment with some patterns I have always liked. The Delectable Mountain Quilt block is one I have been meaning to try for ages, mostly because of the name, which is based on John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress. This quilt is made entirely out of old Yoyos except the backing-and border, which was yet another scrap from my early 1900’s scrap stash…I knew they would come in useful!

Constance loves this quilt, as it reminds her of her own Pilgrimage to Santiago in 2012…she is hoping to get past the mountains of Error and Caution, and get to the Celestial City at last. To see Constance’s Pilgrimage, click here.

This is a lovely quilt. I really like how you lined up the pattern on the edging material to complement the front of the quilt.
That backing fabric is surprising! It fit perfectly!
Gorgeous! So many triangle shapes-yikes!
There actually should be three little mountain peaks on each side of the larger triangles, but I thought I could only cope with two.
You must be in fabric heaven! How great that you can make a lot of designs and not have a ton of quilts to deal with, spacewise. They are really beautiful! laura
Fabric heaven – yes, exactly!
another true beauty…..very nicely arranged. Thanks for sharing.
Every time I finish a quilt it is my new favourite!
