Delectable Mountains

Constance Reminisces

This mini-quilting extravaganza is giving me the excuse to experiment with some patterns I have always liked. The Delectable Mountain Quilt block is one I have been meaning to try for ages, mostly because of the name, which is based on John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress. This quilt is made entirely out of old Yoyos except the backing-and border, which was yet another scrap from my early 1900’s scrap stash…I knew they would come in useful!

Constance loves this quilt, as it reminds her of her own Pilgrimage to Santiago in 2012…she is hoping to get past the mountains of Error and Caution, and get to the Celestial City at last. To see Constance’s Pilgrimage, click here.

  1. You must be in fabric heaven! How great that you can make a lot of designs and not have a ton of quilts to deal with, spacewise. They are really beautiful! laura
