Gingerbread
Opal and Agathe went off to find more indoor entertainment…Habitat for Humanity runs a Gingerbread house-making contest and fund-raiser every year, the girls have gone off to inspect the entries.
Different companies make elaborate gingerbread habitats, and you can vote on your favourite one. The girls were not allowed to climb around in the gingerbread, nor alas, taste it.
…but they both liked this Mexican village with its numerous felines!
…another cat-themed gingerbread house was a little more worrying…
Opal would like to have gotten a little closer to the gingerbread shipwreck (and its pirate chest of gold!)
…This was probably their favourite Gingerbread house – the back wall is open, so you can see tiny gingerbread furniture and books inside (unfortunately too dark to photograph). There is even a little garden outside!
…but everything was so delicious-looking it was hard to decide!!

“…it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.” The Wiregrass Hitties are perfectly comfortable around gingerbread. Opal and Agathe certainly have a wealth of indoor entertainment to choose from – whatever next?! (Thank you! Delightful as usual!)
The cat-girls were very inspired by the Gingerbread houses, they only wished they could have had a little nibble!!
You have well-versed Hittys in regards to some current cultural/world events. Reading about the Quimpers is like a correspondence course for Hittys! Thanks for the current fun.
We’re happy to find fun indoors things to do in the stormy weather…the Gingerbread houses certainly were fun, and the funds raised were for a good cause too!
oh yum-m, what fun. my vote is for the kitties. Opal and Agathe fit right in with their hoodies.
I think the little kitties in the village were a very close second! They were not that enthusiastic about the large cat patiently waiting at the mousehole!
Your Hittys certainly never lack for things to do or things to see, or things to listen to! They are growing up in a wonderful household!
They are very entertaining too – never a dull moment when Opal and Agathe are around!
We really enjoyed this foray by the girls. Of course the kittens/cats house was the favorite of the Country Hittys. Such a clever and delightful fund raising event!! Thank you for a wonderful outing.
They were very happy to have tagged along when I left for work in the morning!
What wonderful ideas. The Quimper girls always find nice things to do. A Gingerbread adventure is so much fun
There were some lovely creative creations! No wonder Agathe and Opal were inspired!
Gosh they all look wonderful…I can imagine the hobbit house was a definite favourite of many.
It won one of the prizes!
