Two Dalahäster encouraged Amelia to make some Christmas Wreaths…
Soaking
…so she set some birch twigs and cedar strips to soak in hot water…
Twining
…and twined the damp twigs round and clamped them in place with wee clothespins.
Bare Wreaths
She helped make five little rings. The clothespins stayed in place till the rings were dry…
Adding
…then we added some greenery to the circles, using tweezers to wedge the stems between the twisted twigs.
Installing
The orange Dalahäst helped Amelia install the finished wreath…
Satisfaction
…and everyone was pleased with the results!
Pretty
This ring is made with the birch twigs, it has heather twigs and bits of an alpine evergreen from one of our flowerpots. We added a couple of felt hearts, and mushrooms, and some fennel seed heads…we like it!! Maybe I will be inspired to make a big one for the human’s front door!
Amelia had a lot of help and encouragement from the horses – they all thank you very much indeed, and Amelia is sending a special smile straight to you!!
They are only half-hearts really – making properly folded heart baskets out of felt would have been too bulky! We are so pleased you like the results – we felt very happy too with the way they turned out.
A very inspiring wreath Amelia!!! You are one talented little wooden!!! LOVE your smile…

Me thinks when you carved Amelia, your creativity was infused into her. Lucky Amelia. That wreath is awesome. Seriously, awesome.
