Keeping Warm in the slushy weather
The Quimper Hittys have been finding ways to keep warm – Min has put on the fuzziest sweater and has enticed a cat onto her lap…
.
.
…Gilly and Cooky are sitting next to the wood stove…
.
.
…and Tipsy, Henrietta, Viola, Tuesday and Floradora are wearing their warmest socks and slippers, and sitting close to each other!!

But Arianell put on her warmest coat and bonnet…
.
.
…and went out to the garden to look at the Witch Hazel blossoms.

Nothing like a cat water bottle to keep you cosy!
Cats make very good Hot water bottles, their core temperature being 2 degrees c higher than a human’s!
A tried and true warming technique!
We love Kitty snuggle season! Especially when the kittys cooperate!
I’m in favor of where Gilly and Cooky are sitting. Becky J
That is the prime warm spot in the house – cats and small Hittys agree! Jane is constantly having to step over them, but she doesn’t mind!
I often end up with 2 cats on my lap which is lovely until one of the wriggles and both dig their claws in to avoid falling off!
Oh dear – an unbalanced cat is an unhappy cat…not to mention a pincushion human 😦
ahhh all fun ways to spend a chilly wet day. I of course admire Arianelles spirit!! braving the elements. And being rewarded with blossoms!
Arianell is lucky – and so are the humans. We planted that Hazel so it could be seen in the winter from the living room of the house, knowing it would cheer us up in the dead of winter!
