Pip in the May Blossoms
A little cluster of stamens and pistils is all that is left of this apple blossom…
.
.
…but there are plenty of tiny fruits developing!
.
.
Pip is ecstatic – we should have apples this year!
.
.
The quince blossoms come a few weeks after the apple, but there are plenty of them…
.
.
…most of the fruit blossoms are busily turning themselves into fruit – like the Salmonberry…
.
.
…and the black currant…
.
.
…however the Gooseberry is yet again reluctant to earn it’s space in the garden.
.
.
All this pink exuberance will not turn into edible fruit, but the Rhododendron blossoms are spectacular this year…
.
.
…Pip had to have a little nap in the Lilac to recover from blossom overload.
.
.

Ah, I can see that the little Pip could be overwhelmed by the abundance of blossoms, but as a bigger human, I’m just enchanted by the bounty of them. Thank you little Pip for extending your visit to these Spring glories for our benefit.
We are so happy to see the blossoms (and the bees!) Spring is truly glorious here!
My response precisely, a Thankyou from me, to you for voicing so well my own feelings.
We seem to have arrived in spring at last!
Such a magical time of year. I love walking the property to see how my gardens fared over the winter.
At this time of year, almost every day there is a new wonderful thing in the garden! We just love it, so encouraging and uplifting!
what a fruitful garden….it is delightful having Pip show us all the wonders!
…and Pip is delighted – such a small dolly, everything is magnified!!
Oh, I’d be up for a nap in the lilac blossom myself. One of my favourite scents…
It is truly heavenly at this time of year, just wafting clouds of wonderfulness!
