Downpour

Gaze

Another rainy morning…

.

.

Wood Shed and Laundry Line

…we won’t  hang the laundry out today, but we might start a fire in the wood stove, it has been that cool!

.

.

Windowsill

Looking for company, Viola visited the windowsill hedgepig…

.

.

Gate

…since our neighbours are unlikely to dash through our adjoining gate for a visit today.

.

.

Reflection

The rain is not all bad…

.

.

Veg

…we don’t have to water the garden, the reservoirs will be getting back up to capacity and the forest fires are being dampened…

.

.

Rocking

…we are happy it is raining – really…

.

.

Pine

…but we do wish it was a little warmer, and less soggy outside…

.

.

snug

…we are so lucky have a snug and warm place inside while we wait for more summery weather!

  1. So beautiful rainy day photographs, and yes seemed to me so romantic too. I loved Viola’s dress and the colours how you can find, create them… Fascinated me. And also on the chair with the Cat! so lovely so beautiful, how I wished to take place in your stories, in your art stage…. To live in your stories… But I have already been living though your posts. Thank you dear Hitty Lady, you always make my day. Much Love, nia

    • I am always so glad when you visit us in our little tiny habitats – even in the rain! Do you see the little cushions on the chair? They remind me of you every time I see them!

      • Actually I am there, in your beautiful world, Thank you dear, and you are all in my heart too. Thank you, Love, nia

  2. As much as I love rain, I would welcome some sunny days! It was raining at my house this morning; nothing for it but to bake a batch of scones and brew up a nice pot of Earl Grey tea!

  3. This is a rainy day for you, a cozy narrative for us, hydration for the plants and a satisfying soak and fill for your reservoirs. Mmmm, all in all, it’s quite nice. I trust there will be no flooding. Despite the sun shining here, we still have north winds that make our day a bit chilly.

  4. Rainy days have a new kind of happiness 😍 Viola’s dress is very pretty & adds a bit of sunniness to the surrounding weather 🌦️ The tiny carpet…. Her chair …. The tiny cat 🐈‍⬛ 💝
I just love it all ❤️

    • Rain is good! We like the gift of water from the sky to the earth! We can’t complain too much, we need it, but we do have hopes that warmer, sunnier times will come soon! Isn’t the tiny carpet nice? we love the colours and the tiny tiny beautiful woven pattern.

  5. Viola is looking especially pretty in her frock and sweater. Ahhh rainy days, they can be cozy but I know you long for some sunshine. The picture of Viola in her chair with a cat in her lap made me smile.

    • I just finished Viola’s sweater and she loves it! I do too, the shape is a bit different from my previous cardigans, but looks cute on her gathered dress…and yes we do long for sunshine!

    • It is a lovely green – some say olive, some say apple – I am not sure what it looks like to me – just a nice bright green. I have a ball of yellow too and am liking this Einband yarn from Iceland very much, and planning to acquire some more colours.
