Sand at the Beach
A beautiful morning – Tipsy and Sitka ran down to the beach to see what they could see!
.
.
It was a very low tide, just right for exploring…
.
.
…and climbing around in the tide pools…
.
.
…they saw a sea anemone…
.
.
…and birds looking for fish and shellfish to eat…
.
.
…and many kinds of seaweed…
.
.
…and interesting things attached to rocks.
.
.
The strangest thing they saw on the beach was a bag of sand…
.
.
…their favourite thing was a little bit of blue glass!!

Isn’t it wonderful that you folks in that vicinity of the world, have such varied and rich places to explore? And, you’re always so kind to invite us along with you. I wish you merry exploring!
We love the beach, and we are so lucky to live near enough to walk there…the summer tides are really low! I am glad you could come on our early morning walk (low tide was 7:55 am!)!
My Little Lovely Friends, how beautiful you are, Thank you, Love, nia
You are welcome, nia! We love to visit these places – and at early morning they are quite deserted, and very restorative!
What wonderful photography and scene creation! Your posts always make me smile 🙂
Thanks! Actually I had brought my “real” camera, but left the data card at home 😦 Luckily I had my phone, so I could take the photos I wanted! I am glad the photos make you smile!
What a lovely place! I presume you live nearby.
I do live nearby! Only a five minute walk…we love this little beach but it can be swarming with people and dogs sometimes, though the early morning is usually lovely and peaceful!
I envy you your beach. We have lovely ones here but all a 30 – 40 minute drive away which is just long enough to make it an expedition!
Ooooh, stony beaches, just like my childhood!
The little beach is called “Pebble Beach” by locals! There are a couple of patches of sand and a few outcrops of bedrock. We were very surprised to see a little bag of genuine 100% sand from China lying on the beach! Talk about coals to Newcastle!
what a wonderful start to the day…how amazing to live near an ocean and a beach. The Country HIttys and their human are just amazed.
We are very very lucky, and very grateful! On a day like this, the beach is very restorative for the curious, the adventurous, and the soul in need of equilibrium.
Blue glass is the best!
It is! Even the tiniest bits!
