Oak Meadow
Afternoon walk…
.
.
…past young Oak trees…
.
.
…and ancient ones…

.
Floradora sat on a gnarled trunk to enjoy the shady woods…
.
.
…and in the leafy branches to enjoy the meadow view…
.
.
…we live in a beautiful place.

You do indeed!
I had never been to this particular corner of the park before – it made me want to return in the spring during wild flower season!
That ancient gnarled oak tree “speaks” to me. It looks so wise and welcoming!
We love the twisty oaks that we have around here, that venerable old one was about the biggest I’ve ever seen!
What a lovely afternoon walk. I can almost hear the crickets…
There was a grasshopper or two…it was a lovely walk!
Yes, you do live in a wonderful and beautiful place. Do you have humidity in your region or is it more dry? We’re experiencing very high humidity here now-tasseling corn helps inch the moisture level up and up.
It isn’t usually too humid around here. There is an off-shore breeze that stirs the air up quite a bit. If the air is still it can get humid, but normally the humidity comes as pouring rain or sometimes fog, and isn’t just mugginess.
Fascinating… the big trees and your lovely little Hitty world… Thank you, Love, nia
You are welcome…we are lucky the trees are protected in this beautiful park! The Hittys and humans both love the little wild places!
loved the photo of Floradora starting down the path. We also have many oak trees in our woods.
Hittys love exploring the paths through the woods! I love going on walks with them.
