On a cold and Frosty morning…

…Arianell climbed up the Witch Hazel to admire the crinkled petals…

…she picked a few twigs…

…Blueberry was eager to help.

Arianell carried the sweet bouquet home…

Jane’s kitchen is brightened by the glow of yellow and awash with the scent of flowers – how wonderful for a dark January day!

What a perfect solution to use the witch hazel blossoms to brighten up the gloom!
The Witch Hazel is wonderful at this time of year! I planted it in a direct line outside my bedroom windows so I could see the blossoms in the mornings!
Arianell looks striking in her fabulous coat!
I love the coat too – my mother used to have a camel hair coat, I think I was emulating it in this coat. My grandmother gave me the buttons I used.
Okay you have now made with coat even more awesome with this background 🙂
That hat 🤩💜
I made the hat to go with the coat…The Hittys love it too!
The scent of the flowers must be marvellous, and the flowers are my favourite shade of yellowish chartreuse. A real promise of spring.
It is so encouraging. We really love the flowers, their beautiful sunny colour and evocative scent…as you say a promise of spring.
How beautiful and how amazing all these photographs. My eyes maybe make me confused but is there a little one in the first photograph ove the Hazel’s arm between branches… Like a little squirel or something… Beautiful Hazel seems that wearing my pink coat… Loved so much dear Hitty Lady! Do you know what wished/imagined, someone like you should be in our life at the top, like a president because you creat life in peace and in happiness… I am sure it would be so beautiful. I love to be here… always you make my day. Thank you, million of million time Thank you, Have a nice day and weekend, Love, nia
There is a little Hazel seed pod in the first photo, but I like that you “see” a little squirrel! Perhaps it is the shadow of a squirrel. Really thank you so much for telling me how you enjoy the Quimper Hitty blog. I look for the peace and happiness you speak of, some times it’s harder to find than other times, but always there I do truly believe (I have to!).
That coat! That hat!! Oh my goodness! (and I am envious you have witch hazel growing!!) That you for brightening my day! (have a great weekend!!)
Thank you so much, Kat. The Hittys are glad of their warm clothes in our cool frosty weather. I hope you are having a lovely weekend too!
oh my Arianelle is quite the fashionista in that coat and hat. The scene of Blueberry offering help was almost alarming! Lovely scenes…blooming flowers…lovely.
It is lucky for the Hittys that they have warm coats and hats and bonnets (some made by you!) for the dismal days of January. We appreciate Blueberry’s help, but his claws can be alarming!
I hereby crown you Queen of Tiny Coats and Hats! I have yet to go down the tiny coat road as many doll clothes as I’ve made. They intimidate me.
