A January Jaunt
We have visitors from Quebec! Our human friend, the dollhouse lady brought Hittys Graziella and Maude to spend a few days with us, and we went on a little jaunt…
.
.
…to the legendary Yellow Point Lodge!
.
.
Tipsy and Coriander were eager to show their friends how beautiful it can be on the West coast, even in January…
.
.
…they scampered around on shelly beaches and wondered at the wormy driftwood…
.
.
…found places to play hide and seek…
.
.
…and follow-the-leader…
.
.
…they found Cedar trees to rest in…
.
.
…and Arbutus branches to bounce on!
.
.
We saw otters, seals, Mergansers, loons, other waterfowl, sandpipers Belted Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons – so many beautiful views, heard the silence, went on lovely walks and ate delicious food! It was a corner of heaven we were lucky to share for a while…
.
.
…and while it was a chilly day outside…
.
.
…back at our cabin the Hittys were warmed up by their new parlour stove (from an antique shop we stopped at)…
.
.
…and even more warmed by a memories of a special time in a beautiful place with our friends.

Trips like that are so special!
I wanted to show my friend a little bit of classic West Coast scenery and culture, and she said the place evoked pleasant childhood memories for her – and the Hittys had a ball!
I have found that introducing family and friends to the places near here makes me see them again and sometimes differently.
What a wonderfu blessing to have had this welcome visit from special friends and spend it in your glorious region together. Again, thank you for bringing us along for a bit of this time together.
In just a couple of days of peace and quiet, and dark nights, ocean and bird sounds outside our door – it was a joy to be there, and we are glad to have had your company!
what a lovely visit in this damp, grey time of year. The parlour stove is a serendipitous find.
I had never been to Yellow Point, though I now see why people rave about it! The little stove caught the Hitty’s eye(s) and they wouldn’t take no for an answer!
how wonderful to spend time with a good friend (and her Hittys) in such a special place. And I must say the Country Hittys and their human are quite envious of that marvelous parlor stove!!!!
The little parlour stove is a wonder and a delight – just sitting there in the little antique shop waiting for us! I was thrilled to find it, and the Hittys were thrillder!
That’s so lovely. Thank you for sharing
You are welcome… Come along with us any time!
The images made me smile – looks like Graziella and Maude were taken on a lovely tour!
We had a really great time! It was very nice to visit with our Hitty and human friends again, and especially to take them to this special place!
