Mouse Adventure!
Coriander and Willa sat down to tea…

.
…when a mouse scurried in…

.
…sending the cats on a chase…

.
…Willa onto a bench…
.
.
…and the mouse to a hiding spot under the heater.
.

All the Hitty cats stared at the heater for hours and hours…
.
.
…and eventually Coriander solved the problem…

.
…by taking the mouse outside…
.
.
…while Willa mollified the cats with cream…

Willa loves cats. Cute episode!
Thanks so much, Bill, it’s very nice to hear from you! Willa is having a happy life with us in the Hitty cupboard, and we love her so much! She really appreciates the cats for their feline pest control efforts.
How Charming! I have to say they missed an opportunity to add the mouse to the family. They can be quite entertaining for the insomniac.
The Hitty cats agree with you about the entertainment value of mice…Coriander and Willa thought it was a bit too exciting, and were glad to get the mouse out of the house (at least until the next adventure!)
I would be Willa in this situation!
Willa was more startled than actually afraid (or so she says!)
🥰🥰🥰
All’s well for all involved. I too would be in Willa’s place…reminds me of a time long time ago when I indeed did climb upon a chair or table to escape the normality of a mouse’s wanderings around our old farmhouse’s dining room. Screaming and yelling (from me) scared the mouse away, never to be seen again if memory serves me.
We often get mice wandering into the human house at this time of year…and are happy to let the cats deal with the issue. Not so happy when escapees spend hours behind the baseboard heaters…
Delightful.
Thanks! We have fun around here, and are very happy the mouse went back outside!
Nice!
so beautiful Thank you dear Hitty Lady, have a nice day and weekend, Love, nia
Thank you so much nia, we like to amuse ourselves with little stories.
possibly the poor wee mouse was more frightened by all the cats, good that Coriander set it free outside.
Margaret and Jane were not having a mouse in the Hitty cupboard!! But Coriander has a soft heart and I’m sure the mouse was glad to get outside again!
When there is a mouse in this house it has usually been brought in by one of the cats! Luckily the mice are usually dead so easy to remove.
That would be easier than waiting for five hours and then pouncing! Luckily the tiny Hitty mouse didn’t cause any issues!
Hitty animals are so much easier than the ones we humans have to deal with!
Boom – my head exploded from sweetness! The story and the photos – extremely delightful! Cutest little mouse – I would have adopted it and kept it in the house. Hittys are beautiful dressed and the Hitty cats are adorable!
Awwww, thanks! The wee mousie came from a friend who advocates for mice as pets. The Hittys are all for mice as pets, but my human household’s cats would be a bit too interested I think.
I am relieved the mouse found freedom and the cats found some cream! All’s well that ends well!
Happiness all round!
The image of the cats staring at the heater for hours is both hilarious and slightly terrifying. It sounds like a true test of patience for everyone involved. I have to admit, the idea of Willa mollifying the feline army with cream while Coriander handled the delicate extraction of the mouse is a scene I can picture perfectly. It is a good reminder that sometimes the best solution to a chaotic situation is simply to stay calm and offer a little comfort. The mouse hiding under the heater is a classic move, though I hope it did not get too warm in there. It is nice to see that the household survived the adventure without any major injuries, and that the peace was restored with a bit of dairy.
