St Urho’s day
Constance celebrates her Finnish roots by re-enacting the feat of the legendary St Urho. She is wearing her green and purple festival finery and declaiming: “Heinäsirkka, heinäsirkka, mene täältä hiiteen!”

Thank you for the info about Saint Urho.
I love your creations!
We do have fun around here!
I see Constance is wearing royal purple and Nile green to enact the brave feat of chasing away the grasshoppers. How brave she is, considering her size!
Nile Green – exactly 🙂 I see you know your St Urho facts! Do you recognize the painted “East of the Sun” gown and tunic? You have the original!
Great and colorful photo . So impressive. Hetty Hickory was delighted with this pic. Of course anything involving the dispatch of “pests” makes her tiny little shriveled heart just sing
Constance polished the tines of the pickle fork especially well today. Did Hetty enjoy Francesca Da Rimini?
I wonder if Constance was tempted to go for a ride – this is a truly enormous grasshopper.
I’ll ask her.. it would be wilder than a fairground ride, fortunately she is not prone to motion sickness.
Best not mention it to Min. She would be trying on her own without reins.
