An Irish Blessing
Dear Lord,
Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am,
and keep ever burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope…
and though I come not within sight of the castle of my dreams,
teach me to be thankful for life, and for time’s olden memories that are good and sweet,
and may the evening’s twilight find me gentle still.
.
What a lovely prayer. I am sure for you it will be answered. 🙂
I sorta changed it to:
Give me a few blogging friends who will LIKE me for what I write. lol
Some think blogging success is measured by the amount of likes and comments and followers. I am (try to be) happy with my faithful few. 🙂
A faithful friend is a treasure beyond price.
The dress looks just stunning. Did you sew it?
Thanks, we loved the dress too. Robin on Hittygirls sewed it for the Original Hitty’s Birthday swap.
Beautiful! Happy St. Pat’s Day!! laura
Thank you very much. We’ve been having a fine day.
your blogs never fail to lift my spirits and inspire me.. Thank you for yet another delight!!
Thank you for saying so. I am uplifted by my dolls, they help me to express that although we don’t all think alike there is always something interesting to notice, comment on or celebrate.
How nice that the Hittys had a musical St. Patrick’s Day. Now I know where the express copper coloured hair comes from!
Red hair runs in the family!
OK, that tiny harp is just way too cool! Great post!
The harp is tiny, but in the hands of Hatty, not tinny at all!
I’m always amazed when I find a Quimper Hitty post that I have somehow missed. It’s a treat and a delight. What a wonderful blessing prayer! Thank you! And, it’s fun to see how the shamrock hanky began, and what it has become 🙂
