Saffron Buns
Continuing with preparations for the Friday baking project, Constance studies the recipe, and some possible Lussekatt shapes…The Hitty Cat makes suggestions…

These Double twists are our favourite shape, but whatever they look like, they will taste delicious.
Thanks to one of our favourite Hitty friends for the Swedish Baking Cookbook, which is full of delicious things to bake.

I can hardly wait for Lucia Day. The smell of the buns cooking! The eldest daughter delivering breakfast in bed (well, perhaps not that part any more in this household). The QHs might make small cooking smells, but they surely are delicious ones. I hope they have made enough for all 15 of them, and their friends!
It is la lovely light-filled holiday, very cheering in the dark of the winter season…they made six mini Lusselatter, plenty for the Quimper Hitty family!
We need Constance to come for a visit to Weathertop! We are planning a special celebration tomorrow as well, but we will not have such nice and appropriate treats to serve.
Oh goody – I hope the Weathertoppers have a lovely time tomorrow – they are certainly celebrating Advent with enthusiasm!
Well you have done it again…My Hittys are in despair that THEY never get to do things like this. They all wish that Constance could visit and get this place whipped into shape! I fear I would be voted off the island!! Another
wonderful story. I can smell those goodies from here.
Constance would love to visit – I think she would adore meeting the country Hittys, even Horrible Hetty! The Quimper Hittys have fun in a Quimperish way, but we are sure that your dear Hitty flock has their own fun too!
