Tea at the Empress Hotel
In the days leading up to a recent Family Event, the future relatives and Constance indulged themselves with Tea at the Empress hotel!
Elegant tables set with Linen Napkins, multiple pieces of cutlery, and bone china…. Constance knows that any meal that begins with a dish of Strawberries and cream is going to be a good meal!

Constance inspected the cake server which was piled high with offerings…
.
.
The scones and jam were fluffy and delicious!
.
.
Cucumber Sandwiches! Eggplant and chutney in harlequin bread! Rolled red pepper! A feast for the eyes and the tastebuds!
.
.
The tea party ended with everyone taking home elegant bags of leftover treats and Empress Afternoon Tea!
.

We’ll be right there! Save a few delights for us! (What a lovely outing for Constance. She looks very happy.)
This is a VERY occasional outing…but it sure was the epitome of elegance! Constance was very happy!
Constance gets quite the royal treatment……as she deserves……
Indeed she does deserve it – she was quite the constant helper in the lead up to the big day!
Oh how wonderful, nothing like a special tea, with cucumber sandwiches and cakes!
It was the perfect treat for two exalted out of town guests, and specially requested by one of them!
It makes me want to jump into the picture and grab some of those goodies. I really regret not eating there when we were in Victoria years ago.
Well, you must come back then, and we can take our Hittys out for a treat!
How lovely to share those beautiful moments with us…thank you.
We’ve been so busy, while some moments were captured with the camera, there didn’t seem to be time to process them for sharing! I am glad you can see some of what we were doing with our time now after all!
Oh how sweet that Constance was invited to the tea with the future in laws. Very very charming. And how fun that the repast began with Constance’s favorite….berries!! Now I must go make myself a crustless sandwich and a cup of afternoon tea.
Don’t forget to hold your pinkie out as you sip daintily from the bone china tea cup!
