Violets
Patience came to work with me, and wore her special dress today in case we found some appropriate flowers on our walk home…
She and I were rather surprised that we walked 4.5 of the 5 km walk home before we actually found any! It just goes to show, that sometimes what you are looking for is in your own back yard.
I must admit, violets have always been my favorites as flowers as well as color. These are beautiful photos…dress is stunning in my opinion! What a lovely spot you found.
We like violets too, though we were hoping to see some dark purple ones…
so pretty – Spring is in full bloom.
It is nice to see and smell the lovely flowers these days!
How lovely! I am thrilled that my African Violet has graced us with a blossom for the first time ever, so violets are a treat here, too!
It is lucky the African Violet doesn’t live in this household of purple thumbs!
Patience’s dress is absolutely perfect for violet hunting and photographing!!
It is the perfect dress – I am glad you like it…I made it a few years ago and it has just bubbled up to the surface again!
Such a charming dress!
Thank you!
Lovely photos…that dress is very special. I like the use of the rick rack trim…very clever. The flowers and dear Patience are quite beautiful. That is quite a walk you have!!
Patience likes the dress too, and there aren’t that many places where vivid green baby rickrack is just perfect!
