It was Tatty and Carline’s turn to come to work with me. We all enjoyed the walk home through Beacon Hill Park, there is always something interesting to notice. We counted sixteen turtles sunning themselves on this log…
Bluebells
…admired the bluebells
Red Azalea
…and the red Azaleas.
Heron Guano
Tatty and Carline walked carefully beneath the nests in the Heron rookery…
Tree Root Cave
…and peered with trepidation into a tree root cave…
Branch Swing
…and had a delightful little swing on an obliging tree branch!

Quimper Hittys 
What a fun, colorful, clear outing for these little wooden dolls of curiosity and wonder.
It is fun to go for walks with the Hittys – they notice interesting things…like that tree root cave!!
these are just delightful photos. The girls look so adventuresome and pretty. We followed a medium sized snapping turtle down the long driveway yesterday but it never occurred to me to take a photo. We (dog and I) were very careful to keep our distance but he still hissed at us.
I esp love the picture of the girls peering into the cave and swinging on the branch!
I hope the Hittys kept well back from the snapping end of the turtle! The turtles in Beacon Hill Park are escaped or feral pet turtles, and do not snap. In fact they seem never come off the log except to rummage at the bottom of the pond.
What a lovely adventure! How amazing to see turtles sunning themselves on a log- a sight that I have never seen 🙂 The flowers are exquisite- springtime is so glorious! Thank you for the wonderful photos!
We like the Heron Rookery with the funny cheeping of the chicks, the wild dinosaur flapping and croaking of the parents and the well-demarcated danger-guano zone below every nest tree!
Be careful of that cave little hittys – you don’t know what is lurking in there……..Delightful adventure and gorgeous flowers.
Hittys seem not to be afraid of caves, but I am glad they didn’t go inside!!
