Hitty Linnea and her family have moved to the Comox Valley, three hours away from the Quimper Hitty cupboard. Some of the Quimper Hittys and their humans went to visit them at the weekend and Linnea was happy to take everyone around on a tour of the delights of her new home and neighbourhood. We spent a morning at the amazing Comox Valley Farmer’s market, where you can buy pretty much anything, if you have the right kind of money!
Lavender
Linnea and Constance admired the beautiful pots of lavender from Twig…
Yarn
And climbed around in the balls of yarn from Marilisse’s Hand Dyed…
Chicken
…They both liked the Chicken-seller’s little truck, and appropriate table cloth…
Tayberries
And Constance found Tayberries at the Blue Moon Estate Winery market stall…
Mochi Stall
..The Tatsunami farm stand was almost sold out of treats…
Strawberry Bean paste Mochi
…but they did buy the last four Mochi balls, and brought them back to the cabin to share!
Yes – humans and Hittys both were happy to go to this delightful market, Linnea was very pleased that some of the Quimper Hittys came along on the visit!
The Strawberry Mochi was delicious and very authentic according to my Japanese friend…if you do drive up there be sure and get there early so the treats are not all sold!
wonderful colors and such a variety of wares! The girls look charming in their oh so cute pinnies. So happy the
visit went well. I am sure everyone had a grand time.
What a fun time for you all! Nice to see some wares and of course, Hitty Linnea again.

No idle little ones in BC!!!! What a great time they are sharing with all of us! Thank you.
Not idle, no – we generally sleep pretty well at night after a good day’s worth of fun!
looks like a grand market, I might have to drive up island for strawberry mochi. Constance looked right at home on the rooster table cloth.

Oh how lovely! Everything looks so magical! And, I love the fabric that has the Swedish horses on it. What a delightful trip!
I love that fabric too – maybe you should take a trip up-island next time you come to BC!
