Rainy Passage
After getting up at the crack of dawn and driving five hours, Constance and Gráinne are sailing North…on a very grey and misty afternoon.
For a while, the girls walked around on the outer deck, checking out the safety equipment…
…and watching the foggy shoreline recede into the distance.
When the rain began bucketing down, they retreated into the inside lounge to wait until time to disembark.
Grainne must be feeling in her element! Love her Pirate high seas outfit and of course Constance is always perfectly attired for any outing. Hope the trip is a fun one for all.
We had fun – all are a bit exhausted but happy. I tried to encourage the girls to have an early bedtime…Constance went right away, and Gráinne says sailors don’t wear nighties.
So glad you made it home safe and sound. It’s good that the rains have come to end the drought, but I am glad that Constance and Grainne had rain gear to ride it out!
I brought the red raincoat for Gráinne, but she spurned it in favour of her woolen Pirate coat! Rain is good, but we could do without the tail end of Hurricane Oho…
The girls had quite an exciting adventure!
They did, but are glad to be home again!
it is always so much fun to go sailing. Even though it is misty and raining, the Constance will make sure she and Gráinne have a great adventure.
Nice to be home now after all the fun.
I’ve enjoyed the whole adventure very much. What a pleasant way to travel.
We enjoyed the break from “normal life” very much too, and of course, traveling with Hittys IS much the pleasantest way to travel!
