Crockette
Little Crockette emerged from her shell…
…to the joy and delight of the block twins.
They bathed the baby…
…but there was a noticeable attrition of rubber duckies!
They tried to feed her pizza…
…but she expressed a preference for chicken.
They took Crockette for an airing and hoped she would fall asleep in the perambulator!!

How to raise a croc in the cupboard…that is the question? Seeing the birth of the long awaited croc hatchling has me wondering if baby crocs are subject to Imprinting. The first visual object that this baby croc sees is the block twins. I am an avid birder and know that birds imprint but I am not up on crocs. This could be challenging.
We are all agog here too…no doubt the block twins will have some adventures while they are figuring out about the care and feeding of crocodiles!
‘Tis a pity ’bout the rubber duckies, but I suppose a girl must have sustenance. Welcome to the world, Crockette! (Please do not develop a fondness for nibbling on wooden toes!).
Perhaps, like Peter’s wolf, Crockette swallowed them whole!
The Block Twins are going to have their hands full aren’t they? Love their pram! 🙂
Yes, I suspect so…but grinning and plotting all the while no doubt!
I for one am a bit concerned…hopefully this will be a remake of Beauties (the Block Twins) and the beast..(baby croc). I am hopeful that the infant croc is not as cold blooded as I suspect. as an aside tho I am totally impressed with the little guy and the whole story line!!
I am not sure how much of Crockette’s behaviour is due to nature, and how much will be the result of the Twins’ attempt at nurture. They do mean well…
These block twins are very impressive with all of their enthusiasm for adventure. Being on the quiet side myself, I cannot imagine what will happen with them and Miss Crockette next. I’m having fun reading about it all though!
The twins are pure vim and zest. We can never predict which direction they will dash off to next! It does take quite a bit of energy just to keep up with their hare-brained schemes sometimes.
