So pleased to see and know that Constance is interested in birds and berries. The freak snow day has passed and Spring has returned. We took our Hitty’s and dog out for a bird walk this morning to our beloved nature park and Lake. The common loons, Pied-billed and horned grebe’s were there to greet us as well as our local Bald Eagle’s and Wild Turkey’s. The Winter berries have all been eaten with relish by our eastern blue birds and life is busy as it should be in Springtime.
Constance is very fond of berries – she is counting the days until the fresh ones are ripe in our town. I am glad spring has returned to your town! It sounds like a lovely park to ramble in, Constance hopes you have a Hitty in your pocket on your walks!
Yes, I never leave home without one. You and the QH’s would approve of the home we have made for them. My sister brings her Hitty’s (last count she had acquired 11 of them) I now have 3 adult Hitty’s and one tiny Hitty and they get together and we have sleep over’s for them. We have turned the corner and fallen off the cliff concerning rational behavior with our Hitty’s. My spouse and sister are growing rowan trees from seeds and looking into carving classes…. I mean seriously over the cliff…
I have a special fondness for needle books and that sort of thing ..I am very intrigued by your needle roll… And
of course seeing Constance hard at work has inspired me to get busy on my own needlework. I love her pinny by the way.
This one has been a lot of fun to make, so far…I think it will be so pretty when it is done! We like the pinafore too, it is one of our favourite pinafores!

So much talent and beautifully done
We are enjoying the project!
Is the crow on her apron embroidered too? It’s super!
The fabric has printed crows on it, but the one you see had it’s tail captured in the folds of the pinafore tucks. I embroidered a new tail!
What a lovely project to work on together with Constance. You’re making nice progress…very pretty.
We do a little bit almost every day, and are liking the result very much.
