Lolling
Constance was overjoyed to find out that the Walrus boys are back at their beach – lolling around just like they did last year (and probably the year before, and for millennia before that too). The Alaska Fish and Game department have an amazing live web cam, and Constance is addicted! Opal and Agathe kept her company for a little while…
…but it seemed that Constance’s was settling in for a rather extended bout of walrus-watching!
Opal and Agathe decided that lying around on rocks might be more fun than watching walruses lying around on rocks.
So they came to the Museum with me to try it out. Carrying their pinniped beach blankets, they set themselves up near the Stellar’s Sea Lions in the Natural History diorama…
They decided lolling about had its merits but was a bit boring too. When we got home after Work, Constance was still glued to the computer screen!

I love your sense of humour. Thank you for all the wonderful places that you take us!
I doubt I’ll ever get to Round Island in person, but if I do there will be Hitty in my pocket! Meanwhile we all find the walrus web cam very amusing!
Too Funny! I love those beach blankets!! We have good friends that live in Alaska. I’ll have to check out that web cam.
The twins love their beach blankets too – and anytime they get them out just seems to tickle my funny bone!
Wonderful, looks like Constance is indeed settled in… Love the twins and their escapades.
The twins are always looking for ways of having a very good time. They found that walrus impersonation was ok in small doses!
The block twins in those little brown walrus hoodies are adorable, amusing, uproariously funny and endearing all at once. I clicked on the previous stories about them with the walrus and was as delighted as a kid. How do you do it? Your ability to make their sweet outfits and animal friends knows no limits apparently. I would love to take a vacation in your brain and see what it feels like to be so creative. THANK You.
Those Walruses are somehow a font of inspiration – the block twins just seem to make their own fun, and drag the rest of us along with them.
those pinniped blankets are fabulous!
Thank you! The twins certainly adore them!
Always a delight to see the block twins in action! And the pinniped blankets are a hoot!
Those girls certainly know how to have a pile of fun, blanketed or not-blanketed!
