Bee Balm Flower
In just one day, and despite the inclement weather, the sepals protecting the flower buds have folded back completely to reveal the inflorescence of Min’s bee balm…
…the red colouration of the sepals has intensified…
…and one tiny floret is reaching up!
Min is so happy she feels like she can fly…

Love that last photo of Min jumping for joy! You have a great photographer!
The photographer was me! Thanks for the encouragement…the Hitty’s very favourite photographer has been out of town on an adventure with Tansy for three weeks, but he is coming back tonight, so there will be some excellent Tansy Adventures to relate soon!
Wow… the flowers are so beautiful, and I love that Min is becoming more and more Bee like!
I have been fascinated to watch them unfold in their glory – thanks to Min for keeping such a close eye on them and awakening me to their amazingness!
And so she can! “Think of the happiest things. It’s the same as having wings.” No pixie dust required, only pollen!
Not even a pixie shoe! Min is definitely one of my “happiest things”!
and when all of the florets open, will Min have taken full flight and be buzzing happily around the celebrated flower?
She might be sensible and let the bees do that, but I bet she will be nearby!
bee happy Min!
Shee is!
My Goodness, it looks to me as though Min is so enthralled that she is actually levitating. Her enthusiasm is contagious.
Quimper Human, that little bee dress is awesome. The little black beads on the neck of that amazing little onesie and surrounded with the perfect black tulle skirt… and my word…those wings… I can’t stop smiling.
Min just produces one smile after another – hers and almost anyone who sees her. I know when I see her beloved, dear little face, I feel more smiley!
Mjn you have made us all smile! We are pleased that your bee balm is in bloom…your patience and nurturing rewarded! And we love your special ensemble!
We are so thankful to our friend who gave us these slightly more vigourous plants. The one Min grew from seed is still healthy but MUCH smaller!
Have you thought about making cards out of these lovely photos?? I’d buy them! Billie
