Halloween at St Denis
It took a whole lot of Hittys to get ready for the first Halloween in the new house – first Min and Tansy went to the pumpkin patch…
…then help was needed to roll the pumpkins up the stairs!
Amelia nipped down to the balcony to sweep away leaves…
…and down to street level to tidy the stoop for the incoming spooks…
…meanwhile up in the attic, Min watched Gráinne perform some artistic moves with her cutlass.
At sundown Amelia fired up the Jack-o-lantern…
…and all the girls wish you a Happy Halloween!!!
The Jack-o-lantern is actually courtesy of my middle child, who made it out of clay in about grade three!

It’s a challenge to pick just a comment. Each frame is priceless. The skirt that Min is wearing is “Halloween extraordinaire” You must have freaked out when you found it…and Oh My Word! Grainne with her cutlass going at that Jack Lantern really got me laughing… loved it.
A kind friend sent me a scrap out of which I made a Hitty dress, and Min’s skirt! They love the fabric, and some times wear their boney finery to the Museum when they come with me!
So very right: it’s hard to pick a favorite frame!!!! All done with such gusto…and Halloween elegant woodens too!!!! Thank you for making this gloomy day happy!!!! Hope the Hittys get well treated 🎃
It was a dark and wet day here too, but we did our best to keep the gloom at bay!
And, all innocent fun…thanks so much for this fun greeting today.
You are welcome! We find innocent fun wherever we look (except possibly when we look at what the block twins are getting into).
Oh my goodness! The tractor! It’s fabulous! And of course, the St Denis house is just too wonderful for words! and all the treasures…. your son’s jack o lantern is definitely a treasure 🙂
This blog post was certainly filled with wonders! The tractor is our new favourite vehicle, St Denis is just the most wonderful Hitty habitat imaginable, and the Jack-o-Lantern might be my favourite seasonal decoration of all time…
So many treasures!!!! Bountiful blessings indeed!
Yikes! That pumpkin is one of the scariest, spookiest ones ever!! The Bonsai Hittys are taking only quick peeks at the photos because they are so scared!!
We love it – it is perfectly scary, and kind of adorable at the same time!
great to see Grainne putting that cutlass to work! Every frame is a story and all are such fun. Am admiring that scary Jack O lantern.. Happy Halloween to the Quimper Hittys!!!
Thanks! We had a great time with wee goblins visiting all evening. They and the Hittys loved their spooky pumpkin – and kids only got a little damp in the drizzle!
