April Camas

We love this time of year when the protected Garry Oak ecosystem is in its glory.

Acorn Flowers

Mighty Oaks from little acorn flowers grow…

…but most glorious of all are the  Camas flowers – some tall in rafts of blue and indigo…

…but this one was Hitty sized, due to the relative lack of water on a patch of mossy bedrock!

An exquisite flower!

Warm spring sunlight, a sea of blue petals, a friend to double the bliss…

…surely Heaven is in the beautiful here and now!

  1. that final photo is just so perfect. What a wonderful magical place to visit with your magical little wooden people.

  2. Thank You for taking us along on this beautiful walk. It’s lovely. The Hittys certainly know how to find these sacred spaces.
