Mary Ann visits Friends
Friend Mary Ann strolled around a friend ‘s garden.
All the flowers were lovely but Mary Ann was drawn to the irises …

.
…particularly the Quaker Ladies.

.
They are reserved, and yet thoughtful and good at listening.
.
.
Mary Ann considers them the very best of friends.

Mary Ann’s attunement with nature is indeed a special gift.
Mary Ann never demands to go out with me, but is so appreciative of her annual visit to this particular garden.
The flowers are exquisite- thank you for sharing them. Mary Ann’s new bonnet is a triumph of miniature millinery!
Thanks very much! I do love her new bonnet – so soberly spring-like! Perfect for Mary Ann
Ah, you take the most beautiful photos and add such illustrative narrative along with them. Mary Ann is a gem in this episode, as are the Quaker Ladies.
The light was perfect that evening, warm and slanted – everything glowed!
So lovely…our Iris have nearly finished their blooming. The only shortcoming of the beautiful Iris is that it is all too fleeting. Mary Ann is as serene as her “best friends”
I love Mary Ann’s quiet appreciation of my friend’s garden, and the fleetingness of life.
