November Russet

Ladder Work

It has been chilly and cold – we even had snow a couple of days ago!

That means that Constance can help to pick the Russet Apples, since now they have had a frost.

We picked several baskets of apples…

…which annoyed some of the birds…

…but now we can make some pie, or crisp, or sauce, or tarts…Yay!

  1. I learn so many interesting things from you and you hittys…like russet apples need a frost before they are table ready. Who Knew!

  2. ahh, tasty!! We just got to attend Apple Days at the Mennonite Market….huge wooden bins full of at least a dozen different apple varieties. Looking forward to hearing what you make with your bounty.
