Knitting Socks for Viola
Rose has discovered that the workbasket is a great place to cosily sit and read a favourite book…
.
.
…but after being interrupted by a request from Tuesday, on behalf of Viola…
.
.
…she took a break from reading to knit up a couple of little blue socks…
.
.
…because even though this might be the most beautiful ankle in the Hitty cupboard…
.
.
…up till now it was a chilly ankle…
.
.
But they are chilly no more, and everyone is happy now!!
.
Beautiful socks. It’s so nice you no longer have chilly ankles.
Viola was glad to get them – it was getting a bit drafty down around her ankles!
toasty toes, what more could a Hitty wish for!
Ten totally toasty toes! All their wishes came true!
Lovely socks! Being an Ozarks girl can be a bit drafty occasionally.
Viola is glad to have socks for the winter – though it is a shame to cover up those pretty ankles…
Life surely is a bit more cozy when feet are warm. Rose, you’ve made such nice socks for Viola.
Warm feet are definitely an improvement over ice-cube feet! Rose is glad you like the socks!
a very snug little ankle. how nice of Rose to make the new girl more comfy. And yes that is a very pretty ankle!
Rose is always happy to oblige…though she was glad to get back to the adventures of Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam…
Rose makes such delightful socks.
Rose thanks you – she had quite a spate of sock-making last winter so she it didn’t take long to remember the technique.
Oh these are perfect! What lovely little socks. I am so not going to let my barefooted girls see that the Quimper Hittys have socks!
Thanks very much! The barefoot girls around here are very glad to have socks at least in winter!
The hitty socks you create are the best of all. Viola looks so happy and warm now…ready for the cold days of winter.
It is wonderful how appreciative the dolls are, and how they each express their own personality…I enjoy making them happy!
