Blackberry Picking

Afternoon stroll

On a lovely sweet-scented afternoon Rose walked through the meadow…

Reach

…to the blackberry patch.

Scratch

She filled her pail, avoiding the thorns when possible…

…and walked home through the windfalls and the Queen Anne’s Lace.

  1. Wondering if there will be blackberry jam or blackberry cobbler on tap in the Quimper Cupboard. A lovely jaunt in the field with Rose. Love her bonnet!

  2. Rose looks so pretty in her berry colored bonnet. She is lucky she got to those ripe blackberries before the birds spotted them. Queen Anne’s Lace is in bloom here also…it looks so beautiful in the meadows among the other wildflowers.
