A Strawberry Thief
Hitty Rose loves this time of year, when she can put on her favourite dress and pinafore…
.
.
…and take her basket past the Canterbury Bells…
.
.
…to the wild strawberry patch.
.
.
Her dress is made with Liberty Tana Lawn in William Morris’s 1883 Strawberry Thief design, and I embroidered a pleated pinafore to match.

Rose likes being a strawberry thief…
.
.
…she picked a giant basketful of berries…
.
.
…and carried them home for breakfast.

My girls were just looking at the strawberries! We should pick some.
You should! Freshly picked strawberries are one of my favourite things about early summer!
What a pretty story to start the day! Thanks, Rose!
It was pretty tasty too – Rose’s harvest meant a few strawberries sprinkled on all of our breakfasts!
the “Strawberry Thief” fabric is delightful and the embroidery on the pinafore is perfect. Lovely.
We are glad you like them! It is such a delicious time of year when the berries are ripe, and Rose can wear her favourite outfit!
I loved her dress, I wished to wear same, so beautiful. Thank you dear Hitty Lady, Love, nia
Thank you so much nia, wouldn’t it be fun? I love that fabric! It was a beautiful morning, and the strawberries were delicious!

Thanks! We had fun – it was a rare sunny morning! Always a good morning when it begins with sunshine and strawberries!
