Hey!
June GardenThe June garden is flourishing…
.
.
Tall…and the hay is ready to cut!
.
.
Off to the fieldThe mown hay was dry after just a couple of days, so Tipsy and Floradora took the horse and wagon…
.
.
Outward…and wended their way…
.
.
Short!…out to the field…
.
.
Pitch…where Floradora pitched the hay up into the wagon…
.
.
Stamp…and Tipsy stamped it down!
.
.
small pileThe horse moved them along…
.
.
Big Pile…and they kept working until they had a big pile…
.
.
Invisible…such a big pile that all you could see was the horse and the hay and the wheels of the wagon!
.
.
HeapThey chirruped to the patient horse, and turned around…
.
.
Barnward…and took the hay back to the barn!
.

You two little ladies accomplished a lot. That is very hard work. I wonder what or who lives in the barn?
The Hittys are happy to help get the hay in! Our barn has a large number of dalahästar! The one pulling the wagon for the girls has been mine for 60 years!!!
My, the barn must be a very colorful place to visit!
I love how the Dala horse has been put to work before the cart 😊 That will be one lucky load of hay.
The horse is sturdy and dependable – a real work horse!
What a wonderful day you girls have had! Lots of hard work but so rewarding with such a beautiful hitch! As usual, delightful story telling and photography!♥♥♥
Thank you so much! We do have fun – in or out of the Hitty cupboard!
I loved this one particularly. The dala horse and the wagon must be family heirloom toys. I expected the girls to build a hay rick or however those piles are called?
The horse was given to me by my Swedish Aunt, when I was a very small child living in Argentina, the wagon was a consignment shop discovery – the Hittys love it (though I am not thrilled by the liquor label decorations!)
Your adventure was wonderful, I wanted to be with them.
My first and largest dala was a gift from dear traveling friends.

Oh My Dear Hitty Lady, you are amazing. What a lovely post and almost real… yes, standing here as a real event…. Beautiful. I loved them all. Thank you, Love and Hugs, nia
You are very welcome – my Hittys love to do fun and interesting things in the garden, and in the fields!
the first cutting of hay is taking place all around us in the fields…but none of their work is as adorable as the Quimper Hittys and their grand wagon and horse.
They are pleased with the work, as I am sure your local hay gatherers are – it means good winter fodder and bedding for the animals – hooray for Hay!
love the red bench seat, perfect for two Hittys. The girls need a nice cup of tea after all that hard work.
They certainly did need some refreshing liquids after all that work, and of course tea is always available in Jane’s kitchen!
