Flower Girls
Three of the Quimper Hittys are named after flowers…and though Rose revelled in the roses…
.
.
…and Viola found one of the last Heartsease flowers…
.
.
…Floradora sat in the Dogwood tree which isn’t in bloom any more.
.
.
But Rose and Viola picked some long grass stems and small blossoms…
.
.
…and they braided three strands of grass together, adding in a flower every couple of twists…
.
.
…and there is Floradora, with a lovely flower crown!
.
.
This calls for flowers and tea – and cake – for all the flower girls!
.
.

Celebrations outside with flowers and tea or another vitalizing beverage is a superior way to enjoy a pleasant summer’s day.
We love flower crowns and tea – and chocolate cake! Any one of them is an excuse for an afternoon in the garden and when you have all three it would be a shame not to spend it there.
lovely floral princessess
Thank you! The floral princesses adore their crowns, fleeting though they are!
So lovely!
Thank you so much!
this is delightful and reminded me days long past, braiding dandelion crowns with my younger sister and having tea parties beneath the grape arbor! what a nice walk down memory lane. Your girls are delightful in their flower crowns!!
I am glad you remembered nice times of long ago…I find that Hittys are pretty good at generating fun – and memories!
