Sweet dolly time
The summer day was foggy and dull, but Arianell and Anne had fun…

…transporting their dolls around the tabletop…

…reading to them…

…having tea…

…and putting them to bed.

It has been a strange summer and the Quimper Hitty human has been feeling very dull. Luckily two of my dolly friends sent two teeny tiny Hitty dolls, to encourage dolly play!

Sorry that you have been feeling ‘less than’….. I hope that you will soon feel more blooming and buoyant. I love the teeny tiny dolls! They are so sweet!
The wee dollies are so small! We love them!
Sweet little post.
Thanks so much!
I’m glad you were encouraged by your two Hitty friends with their charming gifts to you. This little narrative is anything but dull to me and I hope it has helped you move back into enchantment. It does so to me.
There are ups and downs…the positivity of my Quimper Hittys and their friends helps a lot!
This most peculiar summer has been getting lots of us down over here too. I also love the idea of your dolls having dolls AND their prams and crib to play with. What a delightful little world you have created! I feel joy every time I read about it.
The tiny cast iron dolly pram and pull-chair used to belong to my mother and lived in her doll’s house! I am happy to have them in my cupboard to entertain my Quimper Hittys on dull days. I know that when they have fun, so do I!
It shows!
It’s a strange season, and no mistake. I’m glad the Hittys are having fun with their tiny dolls; thank goodness you don’t have to stitch anything too elaborate for those!
No teeny tiny sewing, phew! Though I do have an antique dolly that came out of my grandmother’s sewing basket, which amazingly does have sewn clothes, see: https://wp.me/p1VTqd-8oO!
I agree that this has been a rather odd summer with a lack of ambition….however i must say that your post made me smile and remember all those long summer (and winter) days playing dolls with my sister. thank you for that memory.
I love to see the Quimper Hittys playing with dolls…my sisters didn’t like to play with dolls, but I did! I used to go to my grandmother’s house and ask very nicely if I could play with her china babies…I have loved dollies since forever!
