Spring sock
Our ball of Supersocke Canyon yarn is getting a bit smaller…
.
.
…and the sock is getting longer!
.
.
We love the colours …
.
.
…and the Hittys think it is plenty long enough…
.
.
…to snuggle in…
.
.
…they always hope I will stop at sleeping bag length, but I always keep on knitting.

Happy first day of spring to those of you in the northern hemisphere, and happy first day of fall to you south of the equator! It is cool and rainy here, and seems more like fall, but we have faith! Rainy days, garden joy and the need to wear wool socks! West coast Spring is here!

Your floral bouquet and marvelous sock are a wonderful way to celebrate Spring’s arrival.
We are all glad that there is more sunlight which leads to warmer days and more flowers…hooray for spring!
Gorgeous fresh colours, no wonder the Hittys have acquisitive eyes on it! Happy Spring! I’m looking forward to drier, cooler weather for the next few months. Fingers crossed that cyclone season is almost at an end.
Fingers crossed for you definitely! We are delightfully surprised at the stripyness of the socks, the ball looks like it would make a mostly white sock but it is more colourful than we expected! There will be leftovers, and the Hittys will get at least a cardigan out of it!
I do like using variegated yarn for socks and seeing the random patterns and stripes emerge.
I do too – this is the kind of knitting project that I don’t have to think too much about, and makes something nice without too much effort!
Happy Spring to you! We had some bits of rain and some wild spring winds that ushered sock weather back in for us! Nothing beats a cozy pair of hand knits socks to keep your feet warm!
We love the hand-knit socks! Warm feet are the very best kind of feet!
That yarn is really lovely such soft colors….just like the colors of your beautiful bouquet of tulips. Spring has started out with wet cool weather here in Mo. but the daffodils have begun to bloom and I am happy to say good bye to winter.
We are glad to say goodbye to winter too! Spring is so hopeful…we hope for warm days, more light, things growing….and warm socks just in case!
Nice tulips and glad you have helpers for making the socks!
We are always glad of sock-knitting help. These are just round and round socks so they are good to take on trips, but can be boring just doing plain knitting for inches and inches. The Hittys are good cheerers-on!
