Summer Garden Blues
Guttersnipe bestrode the Delphinium for a good view of the garden blues…
.
.
…Mudlark gloried in the Agapanthus…
.
.
…it doesn’t have much scent, but it is so beautiful and exotic when the flowers are all in bloom…
.
.
…and even before all the trumpets are out.
.
.
.
The Nigella is in it’s glory…
.
.
…and so is the not very blue Blue Star Creeper…
.
.
…and the Lobelia.
.
.
Guttersnipe and Mudlark say “bring on the Blues”!!

Blue flowers make a garden feel cooler – are you having a heatwave like the UK?
Luckily there isn’t a heatwave in the part of Canada that I live in, though other parts of the country are suffering. We are glad if a little glimpse at our blues is at all helpful to you!
Behold the beautiful blues!
This came to me in the night…
Mudlark, Guttersnipe
Beheld the beautiful blues
Walking garden paths.
Oh thank you! Mudlark and Guttersnipe will treasure this Haiku and write it down. I had been going to reply Blue beauties, benevolent and benign, believe in bliss, we love all these blues and your poem!
May bountiful blues abound. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
Truly such a wonderful garden. Love the girls in such glorious blue frocks. A complement to any garden
We have blue garden pots too, and a blue flower in front that the deer don’t eat…Blue is a theme that has a special time and place in the garden and in our hearts!
The Delphinium and it’s other blue and blue-violet flower friends in the garden are spectacular! I am impressed how the ladies color coordinated with the flowers in their wonderful dresses!
We love watching the colours change and evolve through the season – this is the blue time of year! Guttersnipe and Mudlark love their dresses, they each only have the one dress so that is lucky!
