Young human helped harvest the gooseberry crop with the Hittys…

…there were as many spines as on a hedgehog…

We picked every single one that we could find!!

…Jane was full of joy at the plentiful crop!

Necklace

As beautiful as beads on a necklace, our entire gooseberry crop was 122 grams. Not a huge amount, but it will make a couple little pots of jam!

  1. What fun that so many, wooden and human, got to participate in gooseberry picking this year. They seemed to have offered varied ways of viewing their usefulness and fruitfulness.

  2. I wish there were more gooseberries available in the shops, but they seem not to be a popular fruit around here. But at least it is possible to grow them in this climate. Hopefully you can at least get Gooseberry Jam in Australia?!
