Watering
Vanilla’s watering can was full…
.
.
…she made sure the flowerpots got watered…
.
.
.
…and the the bird bath was filled up!
.
.
On Saturday and Wednesday we are allowed to use the sprinkler…
.
.
.
…but on other days we hand water…
.
.
Everyone in the garden is happy when it is watering day!

Water-so essential.
Our climate is very odd – soggy as a swamp all winter but dry as a bone during most of the summer! Supplementary watering is necessary to keep the garden growing – vegetables, trees and flowers!
good for Vanilla, so much watering is needed now.
It suddenly got so extremely dry! I am especially concerned about the trees – they need to stay healthy so they can stabilise the ground, shelter us in the shade, and give us fruit!
ahh watering…essential and sometimes a real chore! I do admire Vanilla’s gardening frock. She is as pretty as the flowers she cares for. also enjoyed the frog (or toad)
Little froggy/toad lives in the damp flowerpot! We like to spot him though he only comes out early in the morning!
I bet Vanilla doesn’t like the sprinkler, she prefers to get out there and hand water 🙂
Especially early in the morning, when the birds are about and the air is cooler!
Beautiful photographs, stages, and I loved her dress. Thank you, Love, nia
There is no restriction on watering here but I always do it by hand so that it slows me down and encourages me to look at each plant which in turn means I spot things which need doing.
I water on the between sprinkler days too, all by hand. I am often to be found with one hand on the nozzle and another grubbing in the dirt!
