Spring Wildflowers 4

Eugenia in the Yellow Violets

Viola sp (possibly glabella) surrounding little Eugenia.  She feels like a wood fairy!

These violets are yellowets.

The Quimper Hittys have gone off on an adventure.  Until the beginning of May the posts will show pictures taken on a walk through the Oak Bay Wildflower Garden, and nearby Garry Oak meadows. The Hittys are enjoying the spring wildflowers.

    • We feel hemmed in by dark and rain, and February tends to be a damp and gloomy month weather-wise. We always try and find lightening things to do…and luckily for us, the bulbs are flowering despite the weather! I haven’t seen any yellow violets yet, (Feb 2016) but will keep eyes open for them, another sign of spring for sure!
