Autumnal Equinox
The Quimper Hittys wish all their friends in the Northern Hemisphere a very happy first day of fall. And Happy Spring to our good friends south of the equator! Constance and Min go on a walk to appreciate the beauties of the season.
We don’t get a big show of bright fall leaf colours around here! The leaves in our part of the world just turn brown and fall off.
.
Some flowers are in their prime though. The park has a few pretty clumps of Craspedia globosa.
.
.
Apparently Velcro was invented by a Swiss scientist who was picking burrs out of his dog’s coat after an autumn walk.
.
.
Chestnut is Constance’s favourite colour of brown.
.
.
The best part of fall is jumping into leaf piles!

Thanks, Constance and Min, for ushering us into autumn!
We love this season!
It seems like only yesterday that the girls were exploring spring! These are nice pictures – it is hard to keep up with Min to get a good shot. Unless perhaps she is tangled in a burr and waiting for a hand down. I really don’t know how she gets into such predicaments.
Min doesn’t know either, she is just curious.
I love to think of using a pretty lavender color for fall! And I agree…chestnut is just a beautiful color…
All the shades of purple and brown, orange and grey, the colours of fall are all beautiful.
I love the picture of Min hanging up by the burrs. Cute!
Min is always getting into sticky situations!
